Puppy bowl!

Grocery store? Not today. It's a ZOO. Everyone is rushing to get their Superbowl snacks and beverages. Not my family! We don't like football in my family. I'm actually glad we don't. I don't want to have a obsessed football dad, that's for sure. So Rosie and I sat in my room for a while before we decided to watch 101 Dalmatians. Rosie and I cuddled up close, but Rosie soon walked away to the sun and left me to watch it myself. I was getting myself ready for the Puppy Bowl. The Superbowl but with cute little puppies and chew toys. They run around and they have all these cute little chew footballs. I remember last year watching it and one dog ran back and forth with the toy for a good 15 minutes and the announcer just kept saying "Touch down! Touch down again?! Touch down...again." It was funny and I got a kick out of it. None of my neighbors are around to play with. I do have tons of homework due Tuesday, which I'll get started later. Whatever! I'm probably the best procrastinator out there, so don't even think you got me beat. I just start to play with Rosie, then I go and empty the dishwasher (on my own!) and then I go and clean my room, then I go and take all my stuff downstairs to my room. I can't help that homework is so boring and then we do all this work and my math teacher just comes around and looks at it for two seconds just to see if it's done. No wonder I got a C, my teacher has a lazy eye that looks in a different direction then his other and I can't help but sit there and wonder how he doesn't get a headache from that. He also spends half the class yelling at the group in the back of the room. Ugh! I can't even pay attention, so I always get a D on my test. I've only gotten an A on three tests out of the year so far, and I know I've bombed my Chapter Five test because he told out class the A's, B's, and C's, and my name wasn't on that list. I knew when I took it I would fail. Uh! Well, I'll just have to take a retake someday. Study my butt off!

If you want to watch the Puppy Bowl, then go to Animal Planet at either 3 or 5 (I forget the time, but check at 3:00 p.m. and then if it's not on it's on at 5:00 p.m.)

Snow Day!

The snow day on Tuesday made my heart soar. I was so excited that I imagined myself sledding with my neighbors instead of studying for a test I was supposed to have Wednesday (but actually didn't take until today). So, I looked over my Hawaiian Vocabulary Book before heading out to sled with my two neighbors! The new word I tried to learn is sky, which in Hawaiian is Lani (LAH-nee). I chose to learn this word today because I can say "The Lani looks very gray with clouds today!" to my neighbors. I'm not sure I'll remember it, since the only word I remember to say is Good Morning, which in Hawaiian is Aloha kakahiaka (al-LOH-hah kah-kah-hee-AH-kah). I need to work on writing that out and learning how to spell it. Right now all I can do is say it! I chose to learn Hawaiian because I want to go to Hawaii someday really badly! I love dressing up in my swimsuit, grass skirt, and beautiful flower bracelet and nut necklace. I have a play ukelele but I don't know how to play it. Some day I'll learn, but right now I've got my mind on the ice that is still out there from Tuesday. It's very icy and I like to ice skate on the longest strip up the road! How fun! Well it's time for me to leave! A hui hou! (a HOO-e hoe)!

Katie's Imagination Takes Flight

As soon as I stumbled into my bitty room, I put on my pink fairy wings and picked up my pink fairy wand. I turned on Fly to Your Heart - Selena Gomez, and danced around my room. You just stepped into a whole different world! When following my blog you're following my imagination. Every other day I will post my experience of stepping into my new school as the "new girl", my adventures, and my silly little games I play when no one's looking! Though I am 13, doesn't mean I can't be the person I am. Honestly I act like a little 10 or 11 year old. I wish I could fly to Neverland and never grow old! My mommy says I'm her Peter Pan, and that I'll always be her little girl. I hope to get to know you. I'll get pictures up soon!
